Well-being as a Driver of Business Success

In today's dynamic business world, where challenges are multiplying and the pressure to achieve results is constant, it is essential to stop and reflect on what really makes a company sustainable and successful. The answer lies in people.

Recently, María Luke, CEO and co-founder of Uelz, reminded us of something fundamental: “The health of your employees is important for the health of your company.” These words, as simple as they are powerful, are a reminder that organizations that prioritize the physical and emotional well-being of their teams not only contribute to the development of their employees, but also ensure the success and sustainability of their businesses.

The data supports this view: according to a Gallup study, companies with engaged and healthy employees are 23% more profitable and 18% more productive than those that do not prioritize well-being. In addition, organizations that invest in health and wellness programs report a 25% reduction in absenteeism, according to data from the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

As the leader of WOB, I have witnessed how well-being, motivation, and a sense of belonging directly influence the results of any project. It's not just about meeting financial goals; it's about building humane companies where every person feels valued and respected.

María Luke's testimony also highlights another challenge: that of women entrepreneurs, who often face greater obstacles in consolidating our businesses while balancing our personal and professional lives. However, we also know that women leaders are changing the rules of the game. According to the GEM Global Report on Women's Entrepreneurship 2022, women entrepreneurs are 20% more likely to implement sustainability practices and care for their teams.

At WOB, we firmly believe that leading with empathy, fostering healthy work environments, and supporting the holistic growth of individuals is not just an option, but a responsibility. That is why we invite all women entrepreneurs and leaders to reflect on the following: Are we taking care of the people who make our organizations successful?

Let's build more humane and sustainable companies together. Because true success is not only measured in numbers, but also in the positive impact we have on those around us.
